Chrome OS FLAGS - Hidden Options

There is a hidden menu of experimental features for the Chrome browser known as Chrome Flags. Some of these features eventually get rolled into a future stable release of Chrome. I'll share the ones I recommend below. Be very careful as you can ruin your Chrome browser if you don't know what you're doing.

To access chrome flags go to  chrome://flags
You can press Ctrl + F to help find features faster.

Enable the following if you want Chrome to run slightly faster:
GPU rasterization - set to enable
Fast tab/window close -  set to enable
Number of raster threads - set to 4
TCP Fast Open - set to enable
Experimental QUIC protocol - set to enable

You can disable the following if you don't have a touchscreen Chromebook:
Touch Events API - set to disable
Touch Adjustment - set to disable
Touch Initiated Drag and Drop - set to disable

Use night light to read web pages at night. Find Enable Night Light
To use this after enabling: click lower right, at pop up click profile photo, click moon icon

Tab Muting. When running multiple tabs sometimes you need to mute a tab that is playing undesired audio. This feature lets you do this easily. Look for it under "Tab audio muting UI control" - set to enable

***If you don't like the way your system performs after you make changes, you can go back and set all flags to default in the chrome://flags page. There is a button that says," Reset All to Default" at the top.
